Company History

American Metals USA, Inc. is a rapidly growing company.  In 1982, Jim Tollett began erecting
metal buildings as Tollett and Son Construction.  After 4 years in the US Army, his son Brian
joined him in 1990.  As the experience grew, so did the client list.  In 1991, Tollett and Son
Construction became the main erector for A&M Buildings located in Clovis, New Mexico.  Among
the projects completed for A&M, was the Tanger Outlet Mall in Barstow, California.

In 1995, Jim and Brian branched out on their own and Texas Steel Structures was created.
Under the new moniker, Jim and Brian began to broker buildings along with their growing
erection business.  Texas Steel Structures’ client list includes Monier-Lifetile.  In 1996, Texas
Steel Structures became a Star Building Systems dealer.  In 1998, Texas Steel Structures was
recognized as having the highest Sales volume in the Texas-Oklahoma region.  Through the
relationship with Star Building Systems, Texas Steel Structures was encouraged to begin
developing larger projects that required more phases than just erection; soon after Texas Steel
Structures became a General Contractor.

Texas Steel Structures’ business began to develop rapidly.  By the end of 2006, Jim Tollett was
getting closer to retirement and they began to restructure the business; thus began American
Metals.

American Metals took over operations of Texas Steel Structures in January 2007.  Under
American Metals business was still going strong.  American Metals completed projects for
several companies and civic groups such as the City of Abilene, Texas.  When the cost of fuel
began rising, Jim and Brian began looking for a way to help save their customers money.   In
June of 2008, the opportunity to purchase Big Country Steel arose.  Big Country Steel was a
metal building fabrication business with over 10 years experience.  American Metals was
incorporated and then purchased Big Country Steel allowing Jim and Brian Tollett to offer quality
metal buildings to their customers at an affordable price.

American Metals USA, Inc. continues to look for ways to help increase the quality of our products
and deliver more cost savings to our customers.  We have accomplished our objectives by
assisting our customers in every phase of their projects.  We will always be a customer driven
